Miles Gilbert "Tim" Horton - Hockey, Buffalo, NY
The statue of Miles Gilbert "Tim" Horton is located at Main Street and Marine Drive in Buffalo, New York, near the Canalside Metro Station. The statue, made of bronze, and sculpted by Jerry McKenna of Boerne, Texas, was given as a gift to the City of Buffalo from the Tim Hortons coffee chain to honor Tim's first game, the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium, on October 8th, 1972.
Miles Gilbert "Tim" Horton was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who played 24 seasons in the National Hockey League. He played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres. In 2017, Horton was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in history.
