John Lennon, Marlyn Monroe, and Al Capone Mural, Mount Pleasant, SC

Sergio Odeith created this mural of John Lennon, Al Capone, and Marilyn Monroe in July of 2016.  The controversy set in shortly after the unveiling, a violation of zoning vs. art. A beautiful mural painted on the side of a Moe's Southwest Grill; the town considered it an advertisement - signage and not art. They said that it attracted people's attention (Duh), and we don't allow signs that big on buildings.
