Tom Thumbs Grave, Bridgeport, CT

General Tom Thumbs Grave, Bridgeport, CT

Personally standing only 3 feet 4 inch tall this 40 foot pedestal with a life size tribute to Charles Sherwood “General Tom Thumb” Stratton on top of his headstone  is located in the Mountain Grove Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bridgeport , CT only several grave sites away from legendary showman and circus promoter Phineas Taylor “P.T.” Barnum, founder of the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. He married Lavinia Warren in NY City in 1863 and both stood on a grand Piano to receive guest in a greeting line. Following the wedding the couple was received by President Lincoln in the White House.
