He has been there for Forty Six years and a Lufkin tradition to bring on the Holiday Season. Yes it is a working oil pump resembling the most famous of Reindeer - Rudolph. Designed and built by Lufkin Industries, it is a tradition each year to see this icon light up the Lufkin Mall sky along with its Santa Sleigh.The pumping unit is painted red and has over 1,200 colored Christmas lights along with the brightly lit Rudolph's nose.
