Dr. Seuss National Memorial Garden, Springfield, MA
In the heart of Springfield Massachusetts, on the grounds of
the Springfield Museum you will find the bronze sculptures of the characters
from the amazing books of Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel. Dr. Seuss grew up in this
city and it may have inspired some of the books of Dr. Seuss.
The Sculptures were created by Lark Grey Dimond-Cates, Dr.
Suess’. Included – The Cat in the Hat, Horton hears a Who, The Grinch and Max,
Thing One and Thing Two, The Lorax, and an amazing Vine Village from many of Suess’
stories.
At the forefront and center is Dr. Teodor Seuss Geisel
himself at his desk with the inspiration of the Cat in the Hat over his left
shoulder.
