WILD BILL'S NOSTALGIA CENTER, Middletown, CT (right down the road from the NUTTY CAR WASH) This is by far one of my favorite stops. You can get lost (literally) in this emporium of memories. I Said Hello to "Wild Bill" Ziegler (a comment from Roadside America calls him a Hippy Senior Citizen) when I saw him behind his "nostalgia fort/check out/office". If I had another couple hours I would have continued wandering up and down the "supposed aisles" looking at toys, (GI JOE, trolls, Bobble Heads, Space Ghost Lunch Box, etc. Things I have not seen in years). This coupled with large statues of Marlyn Monroe, Ronald McDonald and others has you meandering aimlessly mesmerized throughout the store . Check out the Circus Paintings on the outside the building and the Tie-dyed Volkswagen Beetle sticking out of the second floor of the front of the building. If I am near here I WILL stop in and get lost in yesterday.
