Giant Golden Ear Carved out of Tree Trunk, LaVale, MD

Giant Golden Ear Carved out of Tree Trunk, LaVale, MD

About halfway between Cumberland and LaVale, MD, on Route 40, the National Highway, sits a Giant Golden Ear Carved out of Tree Trunk (with a scurrying whispering racoon climbing up the side) in the front of an audiologist, hearing specialist office (All About Hearing). I was on a return visit to Cumberland and "Gunk-holing" (family name for purposely getting lost on back roads to see different things) when I saw the Golden Ear. An immediate u turn put me at the office and home of the Phillips. As I parked I was greeted by a women that ask if I needed help. (you followers know that I do) I said no and asked permission to take pictures of the"ear" explaining about my blog and my obsession with the Roadside America App. After the picture, a gentleman came out and yelled "you forgot take pictures of my giant resin monkey". As I drove back up Route 40, damn if there wasn't a giant gorilla sitting against the side of the house. Maybe next time.
