Montour Falls, Montour Falls, NY

Located in the Valley of Tumbling Waters and called the southern gateway to the finger lakes, the Village of Montour Falls contains two beautiful scenic falls. She Que Ga falls, (left) from the Indian name "tumbling waters" was captured by Louis Phillip (future king of France) in a sketch that now hangs in the Louvre. The falls flow out of the Shequega Creek and fall 165 feet into the basin below that flows into Catherine Creak and eventually into Seneca Lake North of the She Que Ga falls are Aunt Sarah's falls (below)
