Shoe Tree, Lyndonville, NY

 Shoe Tree, Lyndonville, NY

Not one, but a line of trees covered with shoes. Tossed, heaved, nailed, placed in these trees in Upstate New York.  A ways off of Route 90 north towards Lake Ontario in the middle of farm country. They say if you toss your sneakers into one of these trees and make a wish and the the shoes stick your wish will come true. Trying to see the connection with these trees and the urban sneaker hangings that we see gracing our telephone wires.  I guess some really wanted their wishes to come true by nailing it to the trunk.
